North Sand Mountain School has released its school supply lists for the 2026-27 school year, giving families a chance to gather the materials students will need before classes begin.
The lists cover every grade level from Pre-K through 8th grade and include required classroom supplies as well as optional teacher wish list items to help stock classrooms for the year.
Students in the elementary grades will need a variety of everyday school supplies, including pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition notebooks, folders, headphones, tissues, disinfecting wipes, paper towels and hand sanitizer. Pre-K students are also asked to bring a labeled change of clothes and a small blanket for nap time.
The school noted that West Bay Trucking Company has generously purchased the majority of required classroom supplies for second-grade students. Families with second graders are only asked to provide a dry erase marker pack, headphones and a crayon box, along with optional teacher wish list items.
Students in fifth and sixth grades will need organizational supplies such as three-ring binders, binder dividers, composition notebooks and index cards. The school also reminds families that locker rentals are available for $5, and students must use combination locks rather than key locks.
For seventh and eighth grade students, supply lists are organized by subject, with separate requirements for science, math, English and history classes. Middle school students will need items including binders, college-ruled notebook paper, pencils, composition notebooks, highlighters and headphones. Teachers have also requested classroom donations such as Clorox wipes, Kleenex, paper towels, Germ-X, Expo markers and other cleaning supplies.
North Sand Mountain School encourages parents and guardians to carefully review the supply list for their child’s grade level, as requirements vary from class to class. Families should also pay close attention to grade-specific notes, including items that should be labeled with students’ names and classroom supplies that will be shared among all students.
Students are encouraged to bring their supplies on the first day of school or during open house, as indicated for their grade level, to help ensure a smooth start to the new academic year.
