Residents in part of Rising Fawn should prepare for a temporary interruption in fiber service on Thursday, July 16, as TVN crews perform scheduled maintenance in the Newsome Gap Road area.
According to TVN, the maintenance is necessary after wildlife damaged a fiber line in the area. The company jokingly referenced the cause as “a certain unnamed tree dweller” in its announcement, indicating the damage was caused by an animal.
Customers in the affected area can expect a temporary service outage beginning in the mid-morning hours and lasting into the late afternoon while crews complete the repairs.
TVN said the maintenance is necessary to restore and maintain reliable fiber service for customers in the Newsome Gap Road area. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly if they rely on their internet connection for work, school, or other activities during the scheduled maintenance window.
The company thanked customers for their patience as crews work to complete the repairs and restore service as quickly as possible.
