Walker County Sheriff Requests Help Locating Missing LaFayette Resident Mr. McSears

Walker County Sheriff, Steve Wilson, asks the community, as well as surrounding counties, to help locate missing 65 year old Timothy McSears. “Suspicious,” is the word Sheriff Wilson used to describe the situation as his vehicles remain at his home. The search has been on-going for two weeks. The GBI has been contacted to assist.

Mr. McSears is a diabetic and does not have his medication with him. He was last seen Thursday, March 6 around 6PM disposing of trash at the Mt Zion Baptist Church. A neighbor saw him doing this, but that is the last time he was seen.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. “You are our eyes and ears, ” Sheriff Wilson said during the press conference today. Anyone with information to his whereabouts or anything pertaining to his disappearance is asked to contact Walker County Detective Brandon Barkley 706-670-1953. Any information could help.
