For Tuesday night, very cold wind chills 2-10 above expected north of I-20 and between 10-15 above south of I-20.

Sinkhole Emerges near Magby Gap Church of Christ

A sinkhole has formed in front of Magby Gap Church of Christ on HWY 146, atop Sand Mountain. Caution is advised for residents and travelers.

After being alerted last night, both the Dade Water and Sewer department and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) are addressing the issue caused by a broken water line.

The Sewer Authority is taking immediate steps to excavate and repair the growing sinkhole. It has now expanded to affect an entire lane, underlining the urgency of the situation.

Commuters are urged to remain cautious when navigating the vicinity of Magby Gap Church of Christ on HWY 146. Updates on the repair progress and potential traffic disruptions will be provided as developments unfold. Dade County Schools will be rerouting buses until they have been notified that the road is safe to travel.
