A robbery occurred at the Mapco convenience store situated on DeerHead Cove Road on October 15, 2023, at approximately 9:30 PM. Authorities from the Dade County Sheriff’s Office are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the incident.
According to reports, an individual entered the store and allegedly committed the robbery, displaying a firearm to the store clerk. The suspect, captured on surveillance footage, reportedly demanded cash from the store’s registers and departed with an estimated amount of over $2,000, leaving store employees and customers unsettled.
Of note, there is a possibility that the suspect may have been accompanied by another individual who did not enter the store during the incident. Authorities are actively seeking information to assist in identifying and locating the individuals involved and to prevent potential harm to the community.
