Multiple Arrests Made in Drug Bust at Stevenson Residence

Law enforcement agencies including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Hollywood Police Department, and Stevenson Police Department joined forces on Friday, August 11, 2023, in a coordinated operation that led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence situated on County Road 287 in Stevenson, Alabama. The operation took place around 4:30 PM and resulted in the confiscation of illegal substances and various related items.

During the search of the residence, a significant quantity of illicit substances was discovered. Approximately 326.4 grams of a Methamphetamine/Fentanyl mixture, alongside about 102 grams of Marijuana, assorted controlled pills, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia, were successfully located and seized by the combined efforts of the law enforcement teams.

In connection to this ongoing investigation, eight individuals have been taken into custody and are now facing a range of drug-related charges. The suspects and their charges are as follows:

  1. Michael Keith Garrard, 49, a resident of Stevenson, AL, has been charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (3 counts), Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree. Garrard’s bond is yet to be determined.
  2. James Stacy Dunn, 47, hailing from Hollywood, AL, faces charges including Trafficking in Fentanyl, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree. Dunn’s bond is awaiting determination.
  3. Adam Joe Warren, aged 47 and a resident of Bridgeport, AL, is charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl. Warren’s bond remains pending.
  4. James Kenneth Carter, 34, of Bridgeport, AL, is facing charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances and Loitering in a Drug House. Carter’s bond is yet to be set.
  5. Christopher Odel Taylor, 35, residing in Stevenson, AL, has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree and Loitering in a Drug House. Taylor’s bond is awaiting determination.
  6. Stephanie Nicole Monk, 24, from Bridgeport, AL, faces charges of Loitering in a Drug House. Monk’s bond remains pending.
  7. Melanie Lynette Carano, aged 51 and a resident of Stevenson, AL, is charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Degree. Carano’s bond is yet to be determined.
  8. Tristan Lee Sawyer, 24, residing in Bridgeport, AL, has been charged with Loitering in a Drug House. Sawyer’s bond is awaiting determination.

The arrested individuals are currently under legal proceedings as the investigation continues to unfold.
