Multi-Vehicle Collision Temporarily Closes Section of I-59 South


A multi-vehicle crash has resulted in the closure of a segment of I-59 south in Dade County, according to the Dade County Sheriff’s Office.

Chad Payne, speaking on behalf of the Dade County Sheriff’s Office, has confirmed that the incident occurred at mile marker 16.

GDOT (Georgia Department of Transportation) maps indicate the crash site with a red mark, illustrating the affected area.

Multiple injuries have been reported, as stated by Payne. Emergency services are on the scene to attend to the injured.

At present, only the southbound lanes of the interstate are closed. Authorities are actively managing the situation, and we are actively seeking additional information to provide a more comprehensive update.
