Sunday night, a Lookout Mountain man was struck and killed on Southbound Highway 157.
51-year-old Michael Shane Reese was walking southbound on 157 around 9pm on Sunday night. The driver of the vehicle said that Reese suddenly crossed the center line and walked directly into the path of the vehicle.
Georgia Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
