House Fire on Creek Road Leaves Two Injured; 15-Month-Old Airlifted to Vanderbilt

A structure fire during the 3:00 hour on Friday left a Creek Road house a complete loss. The homeowner and her 15-month-old grandson, the two occupants of the house, were injured. Slack suffered minor injuries, but the young boy was flown to Vanderbilt’s Burn Center with 1st and 2nd degree burns on his face, back, hands, and shoulders.

Patrick Hickey, father of the 15-month old boy, appeared on Monday’s edition of the K-WIN Today program. During the interview, Hickey thanked the responding fire departments for being there for him and his family. Hickey also provided the below photos of the fire and aftermath, as well as his injured son.
