Anticipating the upcoming cold weather, Alabama governor, Kay Ivey, announced on Sunday that she has issued a state of emergency.
“I have issued a state of emergency for 25 counties.
We are anticipating unusually cold temperatures in Alabama this week, so I am urging everyone to be prepared, take caution traveling and stay weather aware.”
Residents are encouraged to take steps to prepare for cold weather and keep an eye on the forecast as the days continue.
