Henagar, AL resident William Love was declared dead at the scene on Monday according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Love, age 54, was driving down Dekalb County Road 667, near 668, when his car struck a tree after leaving the roadway. After the impact of the collision, according to authorities, Love’s car was pushed back onto roadway and became engulfed in flames.
The incident happened around 4:45 a.m. a few miles south of Henagar. Love was not securely fashioned into a seat belt at the time of the crash. Troopers in ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the incident.
