DCHS Competition Cheerleading Advances to the GHSA Sweet Sixteen

For the fourth year in a row, The DCHS Lady Wolverine Competition Cheerleaders advanced to the GHSA Sweet Sixteen last Saturday. They competed against all of the Single A schools in Georgia at Sectionals and finished 11th in the round of 32.

After a season filled with some amazing 1st place finishes, heartbreaking losses (by 1 point or less), key injuries to athletes, and unexpected last minute changes, the Lady Wolverines rose above the noise and handled their business at Sectionals and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Lady Wolverines have advanced to the State Cheerleading Championships, and the fifth time in the last six years. The girls are looking for their highest placement in over 20 years and to improve on their ninth place finish last year.

They take the the mat for the final time in 2023 season Friday morning at 10am in Macon, Georgia against the 15 other squads in the Sweet Sixteen, with the ultimate goal of bringing home some hardware to Dade County High School.
