Ingle said during Monday’s November BOE meeting the architect had been given the go ahead to submit the Davis project plans to the State Board of Education and Fire Marshall’s offices for approval. The plans should be submitted by the end of the month and Ingle does not expect any more information on the Davis plans until after the first of the year.Last year the Dade County BOE put a freeze on any new construction projects. Ingle said the board has since been saving and planning for this project.“We’ve been good stewards of the taxpayer’s tax dollars,” Ingle said. “The Davis building has been a priority of the BOE. Now the board feels comfortable with putting out this project for bid again.”The BOE approved the monthly financial report, a bid for new school nutrition milk coolers and declaring the old coolers as surplus, and HVAC at DCHS.The BOE also approved the resignations of Ethan Blake, Kimberly Patton, and Kelly Broyles; the hiring of certified personnel Blake Myers; the hiring of Dora Lea Branch for School Nutrition; the hiring of Daniel Goff as a Community Coach for DMS Track, and Sarah Blevins as DMS Golf Coach.By- Summer Kelly
