Dade Elementary School Title I Parent Meeting
The Dade Elementary (DES) will host a Title I Parent Meeting, providing a platform for parental engagement in the educational process. Scheduled to address pertinent issues, the meeting underscores the collaborative efforts between the school and parents for student success.
Pre-K Registration Open for 2024-2025 Academic Year
Registration for the Dade County Schools Pre-K program for the academic year 2024-2025 is now open. Parents can conveniently complete the registration process online or visit the Central Office at 52 Tradition Lane. Prospective participants are encouraged to access the Pre-K promotional video for insights and information on registration procedures.
Upcoming Events:
- DMS 8th Grade Parent Meeting: On Monday, March 25th at 4:00pm, Dade Middle School will convene a parent meeting tailored for eighth-grade students aimed for the planning, organizing, and decorating of the upcoming eighth-grade dance.
- Davis Elementary Mom & Son Game Night: On March 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the school gymnasium, Davis Elementary School will be hosting mothers and sons to a sports-themed game night. This will include food, fun, and pictures. All are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team gear.
- DCHS FFA Plant Sale: Dade County High School’s Future Farmers of America will host a plant sale, offering a diverse selection of plants for gardening enthusiasts. This will begin Aprill 11th and conclude on the 13th. On the 11th and 12th, you can make your purchases from 3:30 to 4:30. On the 13th hours will run from 8:00 to noon. - March 28th & 29th – Weather Make-Up Days: In response to lost instructional time due to inclement weather, March 28th and 29th have been designated as regular school days for students and staff. Previously scheduled as a half-day and an In-Service day respectively, the revised calendar aims to optimize educational opportunities.
Attention Employers: 2024 DCHS Career Fair
Area employers are encouraged to register for the 2024 DCHS Career Fair, an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between education and employment. Scheduled for April 17, 2024, the event provides employers with the opportunity to interact with approximately 450 students, facilitating career exploration and networking.
District Updates:
- District 1 Board of Education Vacancy: The Dade County Board of Education announces a vacancy for the District 1 board seat. Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications before March 29, 2024. The board will convene its regular monthly meeting on March 25, 2024, to address administrative matters and facilitate community involvement.
