Literary Achievements: Young Authors Shine at Davis Elementary

Congratulations are in order for the young authors from Davis Elementary School who have showcased their creativity and talent. From Kindergarten to 5th grade, students such as Aspen Doyle, Emmett Black, and Falco Chamlee have impressed with their literary contributions.

Oratorical Excellence: Dade Elementary Optimist Club Contestants
Dade Elementary students recently participated in the Optimist Club Oratorical Contest, demonstrating their public speaking skills and eloquence. The top performers will advance to the district-wide competition, representing their school with pride.


Musical Mastery: Makaela Chance Performs with District Honor Band

Makaela Chance, a junior at Dade County High School, has earned recognition for her musical prowess by performing with the GMEA District 7 Honor Band. This achievement highlights her dedication and talent in the realm of music.

 

 

Athletic Achievements: DCHS Basketball Players Make All-Region Teams

Several Dade County High School basketball players have been honored for their outstanding performance on the court. Brooklyn Konrad, Adilynn Gross, Connor Wilburn, and Bryson Shrader have been named to the prestigious All-Region 7A-D1 Basketball Teams.

 

Upcoming Aviation Opportunity for Students

Young aviation enthusiasts in Dade County are invited to participate in an upcoming event hosted by the Young Eagles Chapter of Lafayette, GA. This presents a unique chance for students to explore their interest in aviation on March 16th.

Support DCHS FFA: Purchase Honey for a Cause

The DCHS FFA Chapter is offering locally produced honey for sale, with all proceeds going to support the chapter’s activities. This is a sweet opportunity to contribute to Dade FFA while enjoying some delicious honey.

Schedule Update: March Weather Make-Up Days

In response to inclement weather disruptions, March 28th and 29th will now be regular school days for students and staff in Dade County. This adjustment aims to ensure that instructional time is maximized.

Calling Area Employers: Register for DCHS Career Fair

Local employers are encouraged to register for the upcoming DCHS Career Fair, scheduled for April 17th. This event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with Dade County students and explore potential career paths. There is no cost to participate. Registration deadline is April 8th.
