Each week, schools across the nation report students and staff members who are effected directly by the coronavirus, by positive case identification or quarantine.
As the winter months set in, cases are expected to rise; however, diligent preparation by administration is paying off. As the chart below shows, only 2 students tested positive for the COVID-19 virus (one middle and one high-school student). Eleven students were quarantined to continue precautions.
The numbers show that with immunization and by following proper protocol, the Dade County School system is slowing the spread of the deadly virus.
