Dade County High School had in the books a plan for this Friday, January 19th, to hold an Awards Day to recognize student achievements during the Fall Semester as well as a Pep Rally. The winter weather lately has caused doubt as to attendance on the 19th. Principal, Brent Cooper, shared the new plan for these events in a Facebook post.
“Update on Awards Day & Winter Pep Rally: We will postpone our awards day recognizing students for their academic performance during the Fall semester for next Friday, Jan. 26th. Invitations will go out to students this week if we are back in school.
Assuming we are back in school on Friday, the Winter Pep Rally planned for this Friday will continue as scheduled. We will be recognizing our winter sports teams and celebrating a special recognition from GHSA. The Top Ten will be announced at a later date. I will inform parents of Top Ten students as soon as we can confirm a date.”
