Governor Brian Kemp today announced this week that he has appointed our current District Attorney, Chris Arnt, to the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit as judge, in the wake of the retirement of Judge Ralph Van Pelt, Jr. Arnt had been recently elected and currently serving as District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Circuit. Simultaneously, Governor Kemp appointed Assistant District Attorney, Clayton Fuller, to the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney vacancy created by the appointment of Arnt. Fuller, who lives on Lookout Mountain, had been working for the DA’s office for some time, mainly out of Chattooga. Both Judge Arnt and District Attorney Fuller will need to run for reelection once the current respective terms are completed.
