ORIGINAL STORY:

A high-speed pursuit involving a stolen vehicle originating from Temple, GA, came to a dramatic end this morning, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Dade County Deputies, the Trenton City Police Department, and authorities from Dekalb County, AL.

The chase, which commenced in Dekalb County, AL, spilled over into Dade County via Highway 11 South. Dade County Sheriff’s Office quickly joined the pursuit in Rising Fawn.

The Trenton City Police Department set up spike strips strategically near Edgewood Baptist Church. As the suspect vehicle approached, the spike strips deflated all four tires, forcing the vehicle to a halt near JB’s Variety Store.

The suspect, who is reported to have numerous felony charges pending from both Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office and Dade County Sheriff’s Office, was taken into custody without further incident.

Sheriff Cross expressed his appreciation for the seamless cooperation among the various agencies involved in the operation. “This is just another example of the amazing and productive relationship we have with numerous surrounding agencies. They know they can count on us, we know that we can count on them, and the criminals know that we mean business in Dade County! We will continue to work as hard as we can to get the criminals and drugs off our streets and out of our community,” said Sheriff Ray Cross.

As investigations continue, residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
