Dade County Property owners are getting down to the wire on filing their homestead and agriculture tax exemptions as April 1st swiftly approaches. Those looking to file any sort of age-based exemptions must use their age as of January 1st. When filing for homestead exemptions, citizens will be asked to present either a valid driver’s license displaying their correct and current residential address or a receipt from a Dade County vehicle registration transaction. In instances of income-based exemptions, proof of all document-able income will also be required. That includes earned salary, social security, retirement, etc.
