Dade County residents have been sent assessment notices in the mail this week. The assessment notices provide a tax estimate based on last year’s millage rate which is set by bodies such as the Walker County Board of Commissioners, the Walker County Board of Education and city governments.
Those who wish to dispute the finding on their property assessment have until June 26th to file a written appeal. Appeals should be sent to the County Board of Tax Assessors.
