President Trump Coming to Dalton Friday for Midterm Rally
President Donald Trump will return to northwest Georgia Friday for a campaign rally in Dalton as the 2026 midterm election campaign enters its final weeks.
The rally is scheduled for Friday, October 16, at Dalton Municipal Airport in Whitfield County.
According to the official event announcement, doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with President Trump scheduled to deliver remarks beginning at 3 p.m.
The event is being billed as a midterm rally and comes as Georgia voters begin heading to the polls for early voting ahead of the November election.
Trump’s appearance puts a national political spotlight on northwest Georgia, a region that has traditionally provided strong support for Republican candidates.
The president’s visit also comes as several major races are being decided across Georgia this fall, including the race for U.S. Senate, governor and congressional seats.
In Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, which includes much of northwest Georgia, Republican Congressman Clay Fuller is seeking election.
Trump’s Dalton appearance will be his third visit to Georgia this year.
No complete list of other elected officials or candidates expected to appear with the president had been announced as of Monday evening.
The rally will be held at Dalton Municipal Airport, located at 4483 Airport Road in Dalton.
With a presidential visit expected to draw a large crowd and additional security to the area, motorists traveling in and around Dalton Friday should be prepared for the possibility of increased traffic and delays.
