Dade Recovery will bring the community together this month for a special event recognizing Recovery Awareness Month and celebrating hope, healing and the journey of recovery.

The event will be held Tuesday, September 15, beginning at noon on the square in Dade County. Organizers say the gathering is designed to remind those facing recovery that they do not have to walk the journey alone.

The event will feature free food, live music from the Dade County Chorus and special guest speakers. Sheriff Ray Cross, Bridge Health and A Hand Up Ministry are scheduled to take part, along with powerful testimonials from people sharing their own experiences with recovery.

Dade Recovery says its mission is to provide support, understanding and hope while building a compassionate community around those working toward lasting wellness.

Everyone is invited to come out, learn more about recovery resources in the community and show support for those taking steps toward a brighter future.
