Bestselling Author Doug Griffiths to Inspire Community Growth in Dade County

Dade County residents, business owners and community leaders are invited to an inspiring
evening with bestselling author and community strategist Doug Griffiths on Thursday,
September 24, 2026, at the Dade County High School Theater.
A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by Griffiths’ presentation at 6 p.m. The event is
free and open to the public, but reservations are required because seating is limited.
Griffiths is a respected community strategist and the bestselling author of 13 Ways to Kill Your
Community. His clients have described him as a “community therapist” because of his ability
to identify the attitudes, behaviors and recurring patterns that can prevent communities from
reaching their full potential.
During the presentation, Griffiths will share practical and thought-provoking ideas designed
to help Dade County build a stronger, more successful future. His discussion will explore the
common behaviors that hold communities back and introduce the “seven essentials of
success,” a proven approach to moving beyond planning and beginning to achieve
meaningful results.
Griffiths will also examine community psychology, including why good strategies sometimes
fail and how organizations can become more resilient. Attendees will learn how to recognize
new opportunities, prepare for change and respond positively to disruption.
Another important focus of the evening will be collaboration. Griffiths will discuss how
communities can overcome fear, ego and division to work together more effectively. His
message encourages residents and leaders to embrace change, strengthen relationships and
take an active role in shaping the future of their community.
The presentation offers an opportunity for people from across area to come together,
consider new perspectives and learn how individual attitudes and collective actions can
influence a community’s success.
The event will be held at the Dade County High School Theater, located at 300 Tradition Lane
in Trenton. Admission is free, but attendees must reserve their seats in advance by using the
