The Jackson County Basketball Tournament at North Sand Mountain will conclude earlier than planned due to the threat of wintry weather expected on Saturday.
Tournament officials announced the schedule shift to ensure the event can be completed safely. Games originally scheduled for Thursday will now be played on Wednesday, while Friday’s games have been moved up to Thursday. The championship games, which were previously set for Saturday, will now take place on Friday.
Officials said updated start times for the championship games will be announced at a later time.
