McLemore Sewer, Inc. reported a sanitary sewer spill that occurred between January 14 and January 15, 2026, in Walker County.
According to company officials, the spill resulted in a discharge into a downstream pond and an adjacent stream. The receiving waterway is an unnamed tributary of Mill Creek. The incident occurred behind 78 Canyon Ridge Road in Rising Fawn.
The estimated volume of the discharge was approximately 9,300 gallons. McLemore Sewer officials said the spill was caused by a pump failure inside a sewage pump station.
