Traffic Alert: Nightly I-24 Road Work in Marion County to Cause Delays
MARION COUNTY, TN – Drivers should prepare for delays as major road work begins tonight on Interstate 24 between Jasper and Haletown.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) says crews will be conducting milling and repaving operations nightly from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM CDT. Work is expected to continue for the next several months.
Both directions of I-24 will be affected during the overnight hours. Motorists traveling through the work zone should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.
TDOT reminds drivers to reduce speed, stay alert for workers, and exercise caution in the construction zone.
