TRENTON, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will temporarily shut down I-59 Southbound between Slygo Road and Trenton this morning. Officials say the closure is expected to last less than 20 minutes.
Drivers are advised that the shutdown could impact school traffic in the area. GDOT encourages motorists to use alternate routes during the brief closure to avoid delays.
The reason for the temporary shutdown has not been released.
