Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Trafficking Arrest in Jackson County

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Steam Plant Road in Stevenson, Alabama, that resulted in a significant drug seizure.

During the stop, the deputy searched both the driver and the vehicle, discovering approximately five ounces of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.

The driver, identified as Dylan Scott Stewart, 31, of Bridgeport, Alabama, was arrested at the scene. Stewart is charged with Drug Trafficking and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Jackson County Jail, where his bond was set at $50,500.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details regarding the ongoing investigation.
