Three Arrested in Jackson County Traffic Stop After Meth Seizure

Three individuals were arrested following a traffic stop in Scottsboro that led to the discovery of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Scottsboro Police Department, the incident occurred on July 5 in the 10700 block of Veterans Drive. During the stop, officers reportedly found 101 grams of methamphetamine along with various items of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

The following individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the case:

  • Lonnie Ray Walters Jr.

    • Drug Trafficking

    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    • Obstructing Governmental Operations

    • Resisting Arrest

  • Mary Ann Mavoureen Kelley

    • Drug Trafficking

    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    • Obstructing Governmental Operations

  • Kerry Dewaun Sartin

    • Drug Trafficking

    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    • Obstructing Governmental Operations

All three suspects were initially booked into the Scottsboro City Jail before being transferred to the Jackson County Jail.

The case remains under investigation.
