TRENTON, GA — The students of DCHS Construction Trades are proud to announce that Chicken Coop #2 is officially up for sale—and it’s already turning heads!
Measuring 6 feet by 6 feet and featuring 10 spacious nesting boxes, this coop was hand-built by students using strong, locally sourced materials. It’s the latest result of the program’s hands-on learning initiative, designed to give students real-world experience in construction.
“This is more than just a chicken coop—it’s a symbol of hard work, teamwork, and community support,” said a DCHS program representative. “We had folks asking about them before we even finished!”
Bidding starts at $850, and any amount raised beyond that will go directly into funding future student-led projects. Bidding is now open and runs until Friday, April 25 at 5:00 PM ET.
