Early Voting kicks off this Monday. With reminders circulating on social media platforms, residents are urged to participate and spread the word.
For those eager to cast their votes ahead of time, all Advance Voting will be centralized at the Administration Building located at 71 Case Avenue in Trenton.
As the electoral race heats up, candidates have been diligently filing their paperwork and fees to secure their positions. Among the notable contenders vying for roles in the upcoming elections are:
- Mr. Ted Rumley, Mr. Don Townsend, Mr. Daniel Case, and Mr. Robby Ryan are all in contention for the esteemed position of Commission Chairperson/County Executive.
- In District 3 (South Dade), Mr. Robert Goff faces competition from Mr. Bob Woods and Mr. Jerry Henegar for the County Commissioner seat.
- Mrs. Melissa C. Bradford, the incumbent for County Commissioner District 4 (Lookout Mountain), faces a challenge from Mr. Boyd “BJ” Hartline.
- Dr. Jayne Griffin is seeking re-election for the School Board Member At Large position, with opposition from Patrick B. Hickey.
- Mr. John L. Warren defends his seat in School Board Member District 3 (South Dade) against potential newcomers.
- Mrs. Carolyn Bradford faces competition from Mr. Steven L. Forester in the School Board Member District 4 (Lookout Mountain) race.
- Sheriff Ray Cross, Tax Commissioner Mrs. Angie Moreland Galloway, Clerk of Superior Court Mrs. Kathy Page, Judge of Probate The Honorable Kerri Carter, Judge of Magistrate The Honorable Joel McCormick, and Coroner Mrs. Courtney Gross are all seeking re-election in their respective positions.
- Additionally, Mr. Lloyd Gass and Mrs. Laura Beth Cunningham are contending for the Soil & Water Conservation role.
