The Dade County Lady Wolverines are on the brink of an impressive feat, aiming to conclude their regular season with an unblemished record in regional matchups. If they secure a victory in their upcoming game against Chattooga, it will mark the third time in four years that the Lady Wolverines have accomplished this remarkable feat.

Last night, the Lady Wolverines demonstrated their prowess on the softball field with a resounding triumph over Armuchee High School. In a match that lasted just four innings, Dade County secured a commanding 12-0 win. Their impressive performance further solidified their position as a formidable force in the region.

With the potential of an undefeated season in region play hanging in the balance, the Lady Wolverines are eager to continue their winning streak. Their next challenge awaits as they face Chattooga this Wednesday, aiming to clinch perfection once again. Dade County will host the Lady Indians in what promises to be an exciting showdown, with the game set to kick off at 5:30 pm.

Dade County will be hosting a four-team super regional on October 18th and 19th. The winner of the super regional will advance to the state tournament in Columbus. DCHS principal, Brent Cooper has shared with the Mountain-Valley Independent that three of the four teams are decided: Dade (1 seed), Commerce (2 seed), and Jasper (3 seed). A team from Mt. Vernon’s region will take the fourth slot.

Coverage for the super regional will be carried live on News Radio 101.3FM and AM1420 KWN. Coverage will also be available online. Tune in and support your Lady Wolverines!
