Tuesday, a coalition of police departments from Dade County and surrounding areas initiated a K-9 sweep at Dade County High School and Dade County Middle School.
K-9 Drug units from the following departments;
-Walker County Sheriff’s Office
-Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office
-Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office
-East Ridge Police Department
-Holly Springs Police Department
-Dade County Sheriff’s Office
-Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force
According to reports, there were no drugs found at either school. There were a few notifications by the dogs at the high school, however upon searching there were no drugs found in that area. Notably, drug dogs may “hit” on trace amounts even if no substantial drugs are present.
