Scorpions Honored By Their Hometown With The Cross Of Merit

Scorpions members Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs have been awarded by the Prime Minister of their hometown of Hanover, Germany with the Great Lower Saxony, Cross Of Merit. The award is given to recognize ones service to the state.

The band shared a photo from the event and wrote, “It was a fantastic celebration, and we would like to thank Prime Minister Stephan Weil and the State of Lower Saxony for the presentation of this wonderful Honor.”

The Prime minister pointed out that they have always promoted peace in their lyrics.

Scorpions latest album, Rock Believer was released last year and was recorded there in Hannover at Peppermint Park Studios.
