- U2's Bono and The Edge posted a new acoustic performance of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "Bloody Sunday” massacre that inspired the band's legendary song. Rolling Stone posted: "On January 30th, 1972, 26 people were shot — and 14 killed — when British soldiers opened fire on a protest march in the Northern Ireland city of Derry. All of the protestors killed in the 'Bloody Sunday' massacre were unarmed, and the soldiers involved largely escaped justice for their role in what became one of the deadliest days of 'the Troubles' between Northern Ireland and England." - A restored clip of Jimi Hendrix performing — just two nights before his death — has been uploaded. The audio from September 16th, 1970 at London's Ronnie Scott's club features Hendrix jamming with Eric Burdon's War on "Mother Earth" and "Tobacco Road." (Ultimate Classic Rock)
- Joni Mitchell and Nils Lofgren have joined their friend Neil Young in demanding Spotify remove their music from the streaming service. Young demanded Spotify remove his catalogue from the service in light of podcaster Joe Rogan's misinformation regarding the covid vaccines.
- Mitchell — who, like, Neil Young, suffered from polio as a child in Canada — issued a statement which reads, "Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue."
- Nils Lofgren from E Street Band a longtime collaborator of Young's and guitarist for his band Crazy Horse posted on the Neil Young Archives site: "A few days ago, my wife Amy and I became aware of Neil and Daryl (Hannah) standing with hundreds of health care professionals, scientists, doctors and nurses in calling out Spotify for promoting lies and misinformation that are hurting and killing people. When these heroic women and men, who’ve spent their lives healing and saving ours, cry out for help you don’t turn your back on them for money and power. You listen and stand with them." - On February 12th, the late-Meat Loaf will appear on Discover+'s Ghost Hunters, marking one of the singer's final appearances. Meat will be featured investigating an old farmhouse in Tennessee.
- The preview for the episode quoted Meat's good friend Jason Hawes, who's featured on the program: "A lot of people don't realize with Meat Loaf (is) that he's been investigating claims of the paranormal for a long time.
