Kiss has broken a Guinness World Record with its New Year's Eve "Kiss 2020 Goodbye" pay-per-view concert. The band boasted on its social media about snagging the record for "highest flame projection in a music concert and for most flame projections launched simultaneously in a music concert." The concert's audience primarily watched the show from far off hotel balconies.

The socially distanced concert was streamed live from The Royal Beach at Atlantis Dubai and shot with over 50 cameras with a 360-degree view.

Ultimate Classic Rock reported, "Gene Simmons' traditional blood-spitting routine was absent, while the lyrics to two songs were adjusted: the phrase 'virgin soul' became 'sacred soul' in 'God Of Thunder,' while (the word) 'bitch' was deleted from '100,000 Years.' According to legislation addressing language that 'disgraces the honor or the modesty' of an individual, each transgression comes with a fine of $2,700 or a jail sentence."

Paul Stanley told that as excited as he is to perform with Kiss, wrapping up the band's life on the road is far from being a heartbreaking event for him: ["There's nothing bittersweet about this tour — it's all sweet. What I've been given and what we've accomplished, and how we've been rewarded is indescribable. And look, I'm not Yoda — I'm gonna say the end of something is the beginning of something else. I'm not going to change who I am and I'm not going to change my trajectory, and everything will go on."] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . will go on)

We asked Gene Simmons if the fact that Kiss has now spanned several generations validates the importance of the band: ["Yeah, it does. Y’know, despite the pundits and the peanut gallery and all the people who’ve never achieved anything in their lives and still live in their mother’s basement, and do the ‘bah humbug’ routine; I think they’re missing out on an important point, which is — go out and enjoy life. It’s, like, the Scrooge mentality simply does not work. You can hate Kiss, but you’ll have the time of your life. Come to the show, you’ll love it.”] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . you’ll love it)

Kiss is next scheduled to perform on June 2nd in Antwerp, Belgium at Sportspalais.
