Dade County Commissioners Schedule Special Called Meeting for July 28

TRENTON, Ga. — The Dade County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting on Tuesday, July 28, to consider tax-related agreements with the City of Trenton and discuss the county’s 2026 property tax rate.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Public Meeting Room at the Dade County Administrative Building, located at 71 Case Avenue in Trenton.

According to the public notice, commissioners will consider approval of Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs) between Dade County and the City of Trenton regarding the Floating Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) and the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST).

The board is also scheduled to discuss the 2026 millage rate calculation, which is used to determine the county’s property tax rate.

The meeting is open to the public in accordance with Georgia’s Open Meetings Act. Residents interested in county finances, local tax policy, or the proposed agreements are encouraged to attend.
