In northeast Georgia, Banks, Towns and White. In northwest Georgia, Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Polk, Walker and Whitfield.

    IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of rainfall along a stalled frontal boundary are likely through late week. An anomalously moist environment over Georgia will support high rain rates and increased chances for flash flooding. Widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with locally higher amounts of 5 inches or more. Urban areas, and areas with poor drainage, will be the most susceptible to flash flooding.

Mary Esther Nabors, age 53, of Trenton, GA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 15, 2025.

Born on September 19, 1971, in Duplin County, North Carolina, Mary was the daughter of John Douglas "J.D." Futrell and the late Mary Frances Woodcock Futrell. She dedicated over two decades of her life to serving others through her work at Dade Health and Rehab, where she was deeply loved by both her co-workers and the residents. Mary had a true servant’s heart and made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Known for her quiet, sweet spirit and warm sense of humor, Mary brought comfort and kindness wherever she went. She had a special fondness for Dr. Pepper and a gentle way of making others feel at ease.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Nabors; her children, Alan Harper, Samantha Harper, and John Harper; stepdaughter, Christy Gravitt; siblings, John Futrell Jr. and Mildred Lanier; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her great joy.

The family will honor Mary’s life with a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
