Virginia Gayle Hawkins, 74, peacefully passed away on November 8, 2024, at her home in Higdon, AL.
Born on March 22, 1950, to the late Bo and Dorothy Coates Cloud, Gayle had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly enjoying her beautiful flower gardens. She cherished trips to the beach and held a special affection for her beloved dogs, Annie and Bo. Additionally, she found joy in watching hummingbirds.
Gayle is survived by her companion and best friend, Tom Gravitt; her sister, Jean Talley; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hawkins; grandchildren, Cassondra Hamill and Preston Hawkins; and great-granddaughter, Alyana Jean Hamill. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Hawkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 14th at 4:00 PM ET in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with visitation from 2:00 PM ET until the service begins.
Gayle will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends.
