An early morning crash on Sand Mountain on Brow Road near Wells Road has claimed the lives of two people and has sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries. A call came in early this morning to Dade County 911 of a vehicle accident wherein a car went off the roadway, hit a tree, and ultimately caught fire. The one person who sustained injuries was able to escape. Unfortunately the two other died in the accident. By the time emergency vehicles arrived at the scene, the car was fully engulfed in flames. The Dade County Coroner’s Office is working with Georgia State Patrol to positively affirm the identities of the two who perished in the crash. We expect additional information to be released by the GSP, who is the leading investigators in the accident.
