From the New Home Fire Department:
Around 1 am Davis Volunteer Fire Department , New Home Fire Department , and Trenton-Dade County Fire we’re dispatched to a fully involved structure fire off of Shelton Rd. An off-duty officer found the fire on their way home.
Upon arrival assistance was requested from New Salem Fire & Rescue and South Dade Fire & Rescue. Tri-State Mutual Aid Association was activated and aid was also received from Tri-Community Higdon Station 1 Fire Department and Tri-Community Fire Department Station 5.
Crews got the fire under control and mostly knocked out in about 1.5 hours. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no reported injuries. The Fire Marshall’s office has been notified and will be investigating the scene.
