Long-Time Trenton Preacher Passes Away

On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, Jeffrey Daniels, aged 54, passed away peacefully at his residence in Trenton.

Brother Jeff dedicated a remarkable 32 years of his life to his pastoral work. He served as a devoted pastor at White Oak Baptist Church in Trenton, GA for an extensive period. Moreover, he generously shared his ministry at Suck Creek Baptist and South Rossville Baptist. Throughout his life, Brother Jeff’s unwavering commitment to serving others and spreading the gospel was evident. He pursued his passion for ministry by successfully achieving a Doctorate in Pastoral Ministry from Covington Theological Seminary.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 33 years, Kim Daniels; his children, Nicole (Jared) Thompson and Scott Daniels; as well as his grandchildren, Dylan Thompson, Ridge Thompson, and Kimmie Daniels. Additionally, he is survived by his aunt, Carolyn Phillips; a special cousin, Kay Honea; and other cherished extended family members.

A funeral service honoring the life of Brother Daniels will be conducted on Friday, July 14, at 1:00 PM in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Reverend Eddy Rushing and Reverend Jared Thompson. Following the service, Brother Daniels will be laid to rest at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville, GA.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until the service commences.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Brandy, Crystal, and the compassionate staff at Hearth Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a memorial gift in honor of Brother Daniels to White Oak Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1078, Trenton, GA 30752, as a testament to continue spreading the gospel, a cause he held dear.
