In exciting fashion this morning, the Lady Wolverines continued their 25-game unbeaten-streak and rolled on into the final game of the GHSA State Playoffs winner’s bracket.
The Lady Wolverines went into the bottom of the 7th and final inning down 6-4; when Olivia Tierce scored a two-run homer; her first out-of-the-park home run of her career, according to her father, K-WIN broadcaster Brandon Tierce. Tied 6-6, Dade continued to load up the bases until Ali Thompson knocked a Grand Slam out of the park for a walk-off 10-6 win to advance.
After the game, coach Stephen Graham said, “I don’t know that I’ve ever coached a team that has just fought and fought and fought, and never give up like this one does.” “It’s no secret, she’s been killing the ball,” said Graham, regarding Thompson.
