Holiday cooking can be stressful; and sometimes parents and families need help. Never fear! We’ve asked some of the wonderful teachers at Dade County Schools to get their students to help us all out this year with the biggest, most pressing question: “How do you cook a turkey?”

The following recipes have not been FDA approved:

Jamie Nelson’s First Grade Turkey Recipes 2021

First, by the turkey from the store. Next, put solt on the turkey. Then, cut the turkey. Last, srve it.

Taylor Barton

First, trun the oven on to 60 degrees. Next, add a sacesuning, vechubles, and friut. Then, put the turkey on a plate and cut it. Last, put the turkey on the table and enjoy!

We will eat Thanksgiving at my Nanny’s house, and there will be a lot of people there

  • I will go to a farm and get my turkey. It will weigh 12lbs. I will put it in a pan and cook it on the stove really hot for 5 minutes. When it’s finished, I will eat it with bacon, strawberries, and grapes. We will eat Thanksgiving at Sonic, and there will be 5 people there.

  • I will go to the grocery store and get my turkey. It will weigh 7lbs. I will put a stick on it and cook it in the kitchen with some salad inside of it. I will cook it on the stove on 10 degrees for 6 minutes. When it’s finished, I will eat it with hotdogs. We will eat Thanksgiving at my house, and there will be 2 people there.

  • I will go to the store and get my turkey. It will weigh 30lbs. I will put it in a pan and put some corn inside of it. I will cook it in the oven on medium for 3 minutes. When it’s finished, I will eat it with corn, rolls, steak, and ham. We will eat Thanksgiving at my house, and there will be a bunch of people there.

  • I will go to the farm and get my turkey. It will weigh 50-100lbs. I will bring it home and put it in a pot with chicken and carrots inside of it. I will cook it in the oven on 30 degrees for 30 minutes. When it’s finished, I will eat it with carrots, salad, and green beans. We will eat Thanksgiving at my house and my grandmama’s house. It will be all of my cousins and me and my family.

  • I will catch my turkey in the yard. It will weigh 8lbs. I will bring it home, put it in a bowl, and put chicken inside of it. I will cook it for 11 minutes on 4 degrees. When it’s finished, I will eat it with ham, chicken, and yogurt. We will eat Thanksgiving at my home, and there will be 4 people there.

  • I will get my turkey from a farm. It will weigh 30lbs. I will put it in a pot and put some sauce inside of it. I will boil it on 38 degrees for 2 minutes. When it’s finished, I will eat it with pork chops, corn, chicken legs, and corndogs. We will eat Thanksgiving at my Nana’s house, and there will be 20 people there.

  • I will get my turkey from a farm. It will weigh 20lbs. I will put it in a pan and put some lettuce inside of it. I will cook it in the oven or on the stove for 51 minutes on 17 degrees. When it’s finished, I will eat it with fish, broccoli, cucumbers, and kiwi. We will eat Thanksgiving at my Nona’s house, and there will be 20 or 17 people there.
