Dade County Board of Elections certified the results of this week’s special election. Melissa Christiansen Bradford has become the newest Commissioner elected to the Dade County Board of Commissioners. Bradford has been serving as interim District 4 Commissioner after the passing of Allan Bradford this spring.
“I will try my hardest to bring honor to my father’s legacy and to Dade County,” said Bradford after the election.
Bradford becomes only the third woman to hold the title of Dade County Commissioner. Interestingly, all three female commissioners served in Bradford’s District 4.
