UPDATED: Death Investigation of Sand Mtn Man Underway

Update:

Dade County authorities have released the name of the Sand Mtn. man who died Wednesday February 10th

Police have identified him as 50 year old Randy Allen Monte of 267 Rock Creek rd.

The sheriff’s dept. says the investigation is continuing as they wait for on the toxicology and autopsy reports from the GBI crime lab.

The Dade County Sheriff’s Department, along with emergency personnel, responded to a call on Sand Mtn. Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, they received a call reporting a man with self-inflicted stab wounds at 267 Rock Creed road,

off of Michael’s road.

According to information released later, the subject was transported to Erlanger Medical Center via emergency traffic, where he was later pronounced dead.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation by the Dade Coroner’s Office and the Dade County sheriff’s office.

One other person that was at the residence sustained injuries as well, and was transported non-emergency, to the hospital.
