On March 10, the DCHS Literary team competed in the District 7 Regional Competition for Essay, Music, and Theater. Traveling to Lindale, Ga, Dade County placed 4th overall with almost every student placing in their competitions. Aiden Ross and Jeremy Crane finished in 1st place for Oral Interpretation. They will now advance to state-level competition. Other results are as follows:
- Oral Interpretation: Humorous – Arianna Clayton, 2nd place
- Oral Interpretation: Dramatic – Milly Robertson, 4th place
- Literary Analysis Essay: Alannah Gray, 2nd place
- Personal Essay: Bhavi Patel, 4th place
- Trio: Makaela Chance, Nayla Smith, Zoie Gibson, Alt. Kamryn Phillips, 3rd place
- Quartet: Nathan Canfield, Jack Dupree, Jared Batton, Rock Chaney, 3rd place
