Data Shows: Only 1.6% of Dade County Residents Unemployed During Historic Low

“Help wanted” signs continue to hang in the windows in the county; but do not believe the claims that “Nobody wants to work.” As unemployment rates plummet nation-wide, north-west Georgia continues to measure historic lows. Below, we’ve attached unemployment rates for the nation (green line – 4.5%), Georgia (yellow line – 2.5%), and the surrounding counties (blue lines on each graph). According to the data, 98.4% of the eligible working Dade County residents currently employed.

Dade County (1.6%)

Walker County (1.9%)

Catoosa County (1.7%)
