The Dade County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday for a special called meeting to discuss an ordinance amending the alcoholic beverage control ordinance to the sale of malt beverages and wine. At Venue’s and special events
The ordinance passed with a 5-0 vote on first reading that would allow individuals to apply for permits that would allow them sale Alcohol at special Events and at Wedding and event locations. The Commission must pass it on a second reading next Thursday or sooner for it to become available.
Also in the meeting Sarah Moore was appointed to the tax assessor board; taking the place of Jamey Blevins who stepped down in September.
The City of Trenton held a special called meeting on Thursdays to enact a moratorium on the development, expansion, intensification, or establishment of any new hotel, motel, or extended stay facility; and the issuance of any new licenses for the operation thereof, to allow the city time to study the impact of such facilities on the city and it’s citizenry.
